Ezequiel Farca is one of Mexico’s most prominent designers and an advisory board member with the Domus Academy School of Design at NSAD/NewSchool of Architecture and Design

San Diego—Oct. 29, 2013—Ezequiel Farca, one of Mexico’s most prominent designers, will hold a discussion on the interdisciplinary intersections between architecture, interior and product design Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the NewSchool of Architecture and Design (NSAD). Farca collaborates with NSAD as an advisory board member with the Domus Academy School of Design at NSAD. The event, which is open to the public, is an example of the school’s expanding global design education opportunities being made available to the community and students, which include an Interior Design program and a Product Design program.

About the Presenter
Ezequiel Farca, one of Mexico’s most prominent designers is chief creative and executive officer of EZEQUIELFARCA, an international design firm in Mexico City. Farca began his design career at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial design, and interned in industrial design at Western Washington University. He earned a master’s degree in Large-Scale Architecture and other Environments from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, in Barcelona, Spain, where he obtained a Ph.D. in Architectural Projects and a specialization in Modern Forms. His studio firm has a global reach with projects ranging from interiors to product design. Farca’s many design awards include the Quorum Award for the best designer in Mexico, the Good Design Award for his Zihua lounge chair, the Best of Year product design award from Interior Design magazine, and the International Design Award in 2008.


About the Domus Academy School of Design at NSAD
The San Diego-based Domus Academy School of Design at NSAD is inspired by the quality and innovation of Italian design education leader Domus Academy in Milan, Italy - named one of the “World’s Best Design Schools” by Businessweek.  This collaborative relationship includes developing educational offerings in design-related fields, starting with a new bachelor’s degree in Interior Design for fall 2013, and a bachelor’s degree in Product Design for fall 2014.
