Roughly 50% of man's carbon footprint is related to the construction industry and the design and operation of buildings. Transsolar is regarded internationally as the cutting edge in Climate Engineering working with architects like Frank Gehry, Steven Holl, and SANAA from the inception of important projects to develop new technology and building strategies. Their website is a model of active innovation for the environmental community.
Auer is partner and managing director of Transsolar, an engineering firm with offices in Stuttgart, Munich, Paris and New York. Auer has taught at Yale University and was a visiting professor at the ESA in Paris and other Universities.
