Christine Loucks Design Group, New York, NY, US, Freelance Designer
Working with Christina, I’ve taken on the role of a leading designer. I’ve
been solely responsible creating all drawings, spec’ing out furniture, client
presentations, overseeing custom work, and site visits. I’ve been allowed
to follow my own creative endeavors, while maintaining Christina’s branding
identity.
SCDA Architects, New York, NY, US, Interior Designer
SCDA involves a variety of responsibilities, to oversee all aspects and phases of the design process, as well as project management, graphics and publications. I work with an intimate team in the New York office (the office headquarter is in Singapore) and I work directly with the principle of the company (Soo K. Chan). In conjunction to overseeing projects in New York, I’ve worked on projects overseas in Singapore, Shanghai, Japan, Vietnam and Bali. This position requires strong communication and design skills as a lot of communication isn’t first hand and time zones of ten don’t overlap. Responsibilities include but not limited to, concept and schematic design, construction drawings, construction/project management, meeting and working with contractors, on site presence, FFE specifications and ordering. Apart from being active in the design, I’m also a strong participant SCDA publications, notably on a book to be published this year.
DADPT, Brooklyn, NY, US, Freelance Designer
I worked closely with Shari Francis (principle designer). Here I was responsible
for providing all specification material and information for ongoing projects. This
required intensive research on all appliances, materials, furniture, ar t etc. being
specified. All of this information then had to be integrated into FFE folders,
contractor bid briefs and client presentations. Most projects were limited
with time and budget, so it created an environment where one had to be as
resourceful and creative as possible.
Ocean Blu, Roslyn Heights, NY, US, Interior Designer
Ocean Blu provided the oppor tunit y to work with clients one on one, both on
and of f site. Clientele ranged from home owners, developers and builders, so
involvement in projects also ranged from styling to construction drawings and
execution. I worked on the majority of new construction projects, obtaining
drawings from the architect to continue developing with the developers/home
owners. This alone required knowledge of new construction building and zoning
codes. I took a great par t in kitchen/bath designs and millwork drawings,
layouts and furniture FFE. I took care of administrative tasks, placing orders,
and billing. Towards the end of my time with the company, I had star ted my own
clientele and projects that I was solely responsible for, along with implementing
project organization techniques.
Bentel and Bentel Architects / Planners LLP, Locust Valley, NY, US, Intern
With Bentel & Bentel I took to working with an array of materials and learning the

I prepared client presentations and models, both digital and tactile. I aided with
digital models, connecting with vendors, and creating budget spreadsheets.
I was responsible for creating project binders that were to be distributed to
clients, contractors and the building depar tment. I was able to par ticipate in a
handful of CEU accredited courses.
