Process Through Procession

With an increasing need for water remediation throughout sites along the Bay Area, the Berkeley watershed remediation center removes chemical and organic pollutants from groundwater and surface runoff, all while celebrating the educational and recreational aspects of the process. It restructures the site to create a new landform that carries not only water, but also people through the remediation process. In using the forces of gravity to shape the processional nature of the project, the remediation center also calls upon the effects of tidal change to return the newly cleaned water to the San Francisco Bay as well as affect the visibility of the project in the span of a day.
