An “Extreme Waters Edge” provides a site within a field of post-industrial influences and New York’s urban infrastructure. These “fields” serve as catalysts to generate a proposal with a connectivity unique to its scale and condition.
A direct influence of New York’s urbanism is the extension of Manhattan’s and Brooklyn’s city grid. The streets within the grid run perpendicular and parallel to the water’s edge site. These lines are extended. scaled, and superimposed onto the site.
