The Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellowship partners early-career architectural designers with local community development organizations, where they facilitate an inclusive approach to development to create green, sustainable, and affordable communities. As an integral staff member of the organization, the fellow will focus on advancing the organization’s practices in community engagement, sustainability and design excellence.

Our Core Principles

• Design Excellence: Fellows use their architectural skills to develop buildings, site designs, and neighborhood plans that improve economic, social, cultural, health, and environmental outcomes.
• Community Engagement: Fellows engage residents, local leaders, advocates, and government officials in community-based design that reflects residents’ needs and desires.
• Sustainability: Fellows integrate Enterprise’s Green Communities Criteria and other leading sustainable building methods to transform the design, location, and building of affordable homes for people of low-income.

Our History

The Enterprise Rose Architectural Fellowship honors the late Frederick P. Rose, a prominent developer and philanthropist. Mr. Rose believed in the value of good design and the spirit of public service. Since its inception in 2000, the fellowship has achieved dramatic results in neighborhoods across the country through the creation or preservation of more than 10,000 sustainable and affordable homes.
