The Tourist Hyper-Center is designed to react to and counter the experiential implication of trying to place one who has no place. The Tourist Hyper-Center responds by creating place that is always out of place. Contextually, individuals are not able to center themselves within the specific context created by the Hyper-Center, keeping tourists, tourists. Spatially, this means tourists experience an inability to define the spaces of the project as here or there, keeping them placeless.
