Robert Leslie founded RELA to focus on residential architecture, commercial office interiors, peer reviews and consulting projects. The firm develops creative and practical solutions to enhance its clients’ use and enjoyment of their properties and increase its clients' property values. Starting with formal and informal programming sessions and a rigorous exchange of design ideas, the firm develops alternative schematic designs mindful of time and budget constraints, and develops one or more preferred designs for the client's ultimate selection. RELA's design process evolves with careful consideration of site, form, space, function, systems and materials to create architecture that delights the eye, invites interaction and imbues daily activities with purpose and pleasure.
RELA provides peer reviews for apartment alterations in dozens of Manhattan coops and condos including many landmarked properties. RELA's consulting services include facilities analysis, long term capital planning and development due diligence, among others.
