About

I am Mexican architect, I studied in Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. I graduated and obtained my degree in 2011 and I obtained my architect professional license in Mexico City on 2012.

During my first job at Arquitectura Experimental S.C I developed design skills. I participated in the 2010 Venice Biennale creating the video, which documented the design and fabrication process of the art installation “Enjoy the View” - http://www.jsa.com.mx/medios/enjoy-the-view/-. I also participated in the 2012 Venice Biennale, I developed the 3D model for the art installation “CONTRAposición” http://www.archdaily.mx/142959/contraposicion- pieza-de-casapublica-en-la bienal-de-venecia/-. I also participated in the digital manufacturing of a 191,059 square feet parametric facade for the Mexican department store Liverpool, through a computational design that controlled more than 6,000 panels, according to sunlight conditions -http://plusmood.com/2012/07/liverpool-angelopolis-facade-jsa/-.

A turning point in my career took place when I worked at Liverpool Department Store; during this time, I learned how to use BIM technologies. I further developed this skill when I worked at FR-EE, where I developed the framework for BIM projects; this framework enabled the office to establish a quality standard for both the design and construction process, through the analysis of data and the coordination of all components of the project. Currently, I am working for a US construction company that has recently expanded their operations to Mexico; this new job has developed my construction skills, interlacing my technical knowledge in software with the construction process.
