Education

University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, CA, US, MArch, M.Arch II / Niel Denari's Suprastudio

During my time at UCLA in the Suprastudio program, we investigated architecture’s experimental deployment at the city scale, the building and its fabrication. A great group of faculty and visitors offered critical studies and technical seminars related to the studio project. Students from across the world undertook projects with internationally recognized faculty in collaboration with expert consultants, visitors, and client leaders from industry, government and the civic community. The year’s focused, four-studio sequence, anchored by emerging design technologies and current theory, took a look at architecture in the contemporary post urban condition. We examined Los Angeles as a site and used the city as a springboard into the provocative opportunities confronting the next generation of architects.
