Currently completing my third and last year in the Masters of Architecture program at Parsons the New School for Design. Seeking full time work after graduation (Spring, 2013).
Parsons The New School for Design - Design Workshop (Splash House, Highbridge In_flux), New York, NY, US, Design Team + Construction Team
Over the summers of 2011 and 2012 I was a part of the construction team composed solely of students to build the Splash House from the ground up. Splash House was designed by MArch Students in partnership with NYC Parks. Understanding the transition from design/construction documents into the built environment and how to troubleshoot on site problems to find feasible solutions.
In Spring of 2012 we began the design of the renovation of the Highbridge Recreation Center’s center openair breezeway. Had formal design meetings with NYC Parks department members as well as the Community Board of Washington Heights. Granted full approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission of NYC as well as the Building Department of NYC. Presenter and point person for these critical proposals. ‘12: I worked on the demolition portion of the design. Summer ‘13: Construction will be completed as per design team’s construction documents.
Landworks Studio, Boston, MA, US, Designer
Worked closely on schematic design of a border crossing in Madawaska, Maine, design development of the AIA building in Washington, DC, and the Parque de Valdebebas Competition - Madrid, Spain. Heavily involved with marketing, promotional materials and graphics, I worked to create successful proposals and competition submissions.
Koetter Kim & Associates Inc., Boston, MA, US, Architectural Intern
Responsibilities included developing and building design models and preliminary renderings for a new city in Kazakhstan. Corrected redlines for construction documents for a new physical science building at Cornell University. General office duties such as keeping stock of modeling materials and paper resources as well as front desk responsibilities were routine.
Ann Beha Architects, Boston, MA, US, Marketing Assistant / Architectural Intern
Developed and customized successful job proposals. Designed graphics for many of the proposals including covers, schedule diagrams, organizational charts, site photos and CAD drawings. Assisted in general office management including file organization and front desk management.
Utile, Inc., Boston, MA, US, Architectural Intern
Worked extensively with an urban redevelopment scheme in collaboration with Berkeley Investments. Developed the majority of the diagrams used for presentations to clients. Collaborated to develop all of the firm’s renderings. Took accurate notes and photographs of project sites. Developed an office organization system including set of graphic standards.
