Safety on sidewalks is a main theme in this project. Apartments around the site would bring chance for students from USC to walk by the site, and pedestrian experience was created along their route. This meant new street edge was to be defined with strong attraction for people to use the site. In this project, functional space and spatial experience were well balanced, which can be seen from the plans and sections.
