The Proposed 182 Residential Units development sprawls across a 66 acre site in Seri Kembangan, Balakong Malaysia. The Residential community sits on the site taking a context sensitive approach minimizing the cut and fill thereby conserving the Natural Biodiversity. The masterplan is divided by a two Green spine of communal activities that culminate at the clubhouse placed on the ridge.
The 3 storey , 5000 sft bungalows is centered around a semi enclosed courtyard that is considered the passive zone utilizing the natural wind and light. Designed to cater to the luxury market with private elevators, the house is based on a 1.2 m grid, the bungalow has terraced spaces that look out to the surrounding landscape with private balconies. The main environmental drivers of the project are based on the strategy of buffering EW orientation and shading NS using an insulated aluminum wrap aiming to achieve good environmental performance to be marked as the first Tropic Passiv- house.
