After the plan was set I was called in to design the exterior of the building as the client wanted an accurate classical building. I designed the massive portico from scratch, and did the detail drawings from which it was fabricated in glass fiber reinforced concrete. The height of the entablature was increased from standard classical precedent to accommodate the otherwise minimal back-lit signage. Other exterior features were chosen from standard catalogue items to reduce cost but be in harmony with the design. I also designed the interior detailing to match the classical scheme of the exterior.
