mo bank is a renovation project to an existing auto repair shop. The original concept punches a hole in the existing structure thus providing a drive thru for the bank and creates an appropriate sense of separation between two retail cores. signage, art, lighting, and design are vital as mo bank is located in an area of kc that portrays an ultimate sense of community. the windows simply provide protection to existing openings... minimal but thoughtful detailing. this project has shown me to appreciate architecture with a little a - every instance in architecture calls for a different response / solution. this was all about a big idea carried out through a series of controlled moves. *this project was completed with Brad Kingsley and Joseph Jimenez.
