'SLIDE TO UNLOCK' Schindler Award 2012. Bern CH

The Schindler Award is an architecture competition that challenges young architects to place "Access for All" at the center of their design philosophy. The main goal is to improve access and overall mobility for all city dwellers, irrespective of their age, status or physical capabilities. My Master Thesis diploma beside project design included also wiriting part: an essey about accessibility in the city.  The main idea of the project was "SLIDE TO UNLOCK',  which was based on the moving architecture. The system of unblocking the IPhone was adapted to the city conditions. In response to all shortcomings of the complex area I proposed as a solution mobile, sliding architecture. Through the years citizens are changing, and their needs are changing, that's why I assume that city has to change with them. I represented my project from masterplan scale to urban detail scale- mobile city bench.
