The new Visitor’s Center at Hammonasset Beach State Park will consist of four buildings. The Visi­tor’s Center building will house a reception hall, conference room, a gift shop and administrative spaces. The other three buildings include a re­ception pavilion, an informal gazebo and the Beach Services facility with rest rooms and changing areas.

The Beach Services Building is the first building to be completed and includes extensive board walks in addition to a new, open structure. The building houses ecologically friendly composters in the basement in addition to natural lighting and natural ventilation
