A lot of predictions are being made on the state of the city in the next century. With technological advancements bound to change the way people interact with the built environment, and the exponential growth of the population even over the next fifty years causing a strain on resources and infrastructure, the nature of the city as we know it would have to change. I believe that in order to deal with these issues that arise, we would have to rethink the relationship between humans, technology, and the resources they depend on. The Cybernetic city would become the mediator between the cybernetic organism, or ‘cyborg’ and resources. This dynamic will then manifest itself in the form of the city.
