Laurel Heights Residence

This project is a 2200 square feet apartment on the third floor in a residential unit, The client is a man and a woman wanting space to entertain. They wanted a custom Asian contemporary style.

In China, roofs are a very important part of architecture and tradition. Temples have roofs with a sweeping curvature because they believed it helped ward off evil spirits which were said to move in straight lines. The play with light and the slight swoop is visible in every aspect of my design through the choice of materials, textures and colors.
