The project design consisted of a family room addition in the rear along with a total interior first floor renovation and entire second floor addition. In this house, numerous design strategies are implemented that play an integral part in the functionality of the interior spaces as well as the exterior. As you enter the house from the front, the long view to the rear courtyard animates the movement through the house and creates a focal point between the inside and outside. Interior rooms vary in height adding spacial interest and helps give its own contrasting character and definition.
