The design of the Feather Pavilion in Arroyo Grande begins with three simple elements. First, the theatre seating area along with a performance stage is separated from the more intimate space on the west by the second element, a slanting brick wall.
Last but not least, the main element are the feather like overhangs that stretch out over the seating area. Not only do they provide an interesting ever-changing shadow but they are also illuminated at night creating an exciting atmosphere that can be adaptable for mutliple occasions.
