VERTICAL FARM + VISITORS INFORMATION CENTER + MARKET + HOUSING.

This is a proposed VERTICAL FARM + VISITORS INFORMATION CENTER + MARKET + HOUSING. The sited is located within the premises of the old dilapidated service train station on 16th street , West Oakland, CA.

The design process started with a series of mapping analysis, which were over laid upon each other to form a complex system influenced by a well thought out program diagram. This two design strategy gave birth to programmatic nodes which i will also call HYBRIDIZED SPACES.

The vertical farm shall produce, Fresh fruits, Vegetables, Edible Mushrooms + Algaes through the process of AQUAPONICS, HYDROPONICS, and AEROPONICS. This process will make the farm produce readily available irrespective of the time and season within a year.
