SYSTRA was the lead design consultant for this Design-Build project, providing both the design and construction support services. This new 250-bus maintenance facility, valued at $50.4 million, is located on a 16-acre site in the DC Village area of Washington, DC. The project includes a 90,000 SF transit bus garage with 27 service bays and associated administrative and welfare spaces, a separate 3-lane diesel fueling building with CNG provisions, a 3-lane bus wash building, and a parking deck with 80 at-grade, covered bus spaces and 300 automobile spaces on the 2nd floor. Now in it's final stages of construction, the building is expected to be awarded a LEED Silver rating upon completion.

I worked directly with the head architect on this project as the lead architectural designer and draftsman, providing code review, conceptual design development, accessible design, construction detailing and all rendering and marketing materials.
