During a five year residential facilities improvement effort at Haverford, we provided designs and construction administration for six student and faculty residences which totaled about 40,000sf and about $4M in project costs.
The initial project was a complete interior finishes and life-safety improvements package for Leeds Hall, a 120-bed dormitory. The success of this project and our relationship with Haverford led to five other projects which consisted of the redesign and conversion of five single family homes the College had purchased into multiple apartments and dormitories to house both students and faculty. Several structures had significant historic value which we respectfully retained, restored and incorporated into aesthetically cohesive and comfortable spaces.
