For this fifty-unit housing project sited in Los Angeles, California, I designed a massing dictated by ninety degree angles. Upon my analysis of the site, which is located at Wilshire Blvd. and South Virgil Ave., I noted that the area is home to families of all types, so I created a building which lends itself to many unique unit arrangements while maintaining a monolithic aesthetic. Meanwhile, the foldng of the overall exterior form provides every unit with its own adjacent outdoor green space.
