The rural community was vastly outgrowing their old town library, and greatly in need of a new public venue. The library was designed to provide not only an expanded collection, but new community rooms, and an internet cafe. There is a constant play between the interior and exterior, highlighted by the raised terrace of the reading room. The main community room was designed to have a separate entrance than the library to allow for greater access and use of the site.
My duties within this project were editing plan layout changes, door and window schedules, partition types, constructing sections and elevations, and designing roof details.
