BROADWAY COMMUNITY LIBRARY l Circulation: 430,956

Broadway Library provided additional program functions within the constraints of an existing floor plate. This included interior renovation of the adult and teen area, expansion of its existing building lobby, selective exterior renovation, integration of RFID technology for self check and book returns, and a complete retro fit of mechanical infrastruture. In adition, a new elevator was provided making this project challenging due to its adjacency to a subway tunnel requiring extensive interface with the MTA. Last but not least, landmark approvals was an added scope of work to this project. In the end this branch became a benchmark standard for future branches to follow. With the collaboration of an integrated team approach, I was able to raise the bar an introduce a new color pallete that superceeded QBPL expectations. This project came within budget and we met all of our major milestone dates.
