A.B.C. Training Facility

This project is an adult education center utilized for for classroom and field training in welding, pipe fitting, mechanical, HVAC, and a variety of trades. The now completed college-type campus consists of approximately 25,000 square feet of administration, classrooms, and lecture space in one building adjacent to the industrial style HVAC Training Building of approximately 8,700 square feet and the Welding Building of approximately 2,300 square feet. Interspersed among the buildings is a landscaping of grass and hardscape creating areas for the students to relax between classes. The design incorporates a large north and east facing clerestory feature in the administration/classroom building proving daylighting in the transportation corridors reducing need for artificial light, thereby insuring that essentially every room in the facility have natural light.
