We are to initially identify a target user group for this housing project by studying the demographics of the assigned site. The apartment complex is to consist of 50-70 units and each unit is to be customized for the studied user group.
The demographics of Crenshaw show a high population in single-parent families and small families. With that in mind, each single-parent unit includes two rooms on opposite ends of the living area to encourage interaction between the parent and child in the common space, but to also provide privacy when necessary in their own separate rooms. The main goal is to sell luxury to the more poverished community.
