Bansi Bank Corporate Headquarters was defined as a simple spec office building with
LEED technology and efficient construction principles. The building is a steel
exoskeleton with glazed skin and solar shading hung on the structure. The building has
no interior columns and leaves maximum clearances for adjustable and flexible floor
layouts. The tower is developed as a single iconic form that sits on a plaza with 5 levels
of underground parking. Public areas are accessible from the street and the
underground parking for special functions in the lobby mezzanine and B1 levels.
The penthouse is designed to house employee services such as a gym and daycare.
The sky-lobby is designed to serve as a public meeting space with full dining services
open to the public. The program is based on allowing maximum activity on a 24 hour
cycle to service clients and staff alike; creating an environment that promotes “domestic
lifestyles” in the workplace, reducing travel times to and from work during the lunch
hours.
The building skin and structure was designed so each floor had a unique façade while
reducing solar gain in this region of Mexico. The skin responds with different densities
on each orientation, working as a solar shield at different times of the day.
