The River Sphere is, "a Tulane University place for development, testing and demonstration of renewable energy resources utilizing one of New Orleans’ key advantages – the Mississippi River" (riversphre.org) This project looks at the changes in the river over time and produces a building that weaves over the site much like the river has woven through the landscape. The program calls for three laboratories that can be viewed by the public and this project deeply pushes the idea of the research center as a museum.
