site: marfa, texas

objective: To design a luxury hotel for the inhabitants of marfa, texas, a unique town full of cowboys, farmers, and minimalist artists from eastern europe. This includes hotel,           restaurant, and spa, changing spaces, pools, saunas, massage, sunbathing space and reading space.

main strategy: Curved post-tensioned concrete walls with “diamond” shaped apertures that diffuse  light and minimalist rooms with a triple glass exterior ribbon window using radiant film.
