objective: to design an outdoor occupiable installation that somehow tells or gauges an element of time within the  small space alloted.

main strategy: THERMAL COLOR-CHANGE TILES AND TRANSLUCENT MARBLE STEPS:
a powerful ascending staircase above ground made from vertical elements of black marble and horizontal steps of  transluent yellow marble. below ground the inverse reads as a cave with stalactite descending from above and golden light flooding in from the sunlight
filtering through the translucent yellow marble.
