The design for the National Sports Center for the Disabled Headquarters (NSCD) was heavily influenced by three main categories within the new world of design: sustainability, sensory compensation, and modularity/prefabrication. In addition to some of the design considerations mentioned it was also required that the design be based upon the way in which the disabled athletes interact and interpret the world. With accounting for each of the categories, the creation was a synaesthesia aesthetic through the breaking down of each of the topics and stitching them back together as a whole entity known as the NSCD Headquarters in Wintern Park, CO.
