The Santa Monica Master Plan includes three different sites, the main priorities were densification and preservation of existing buildings. The main idea was for the implementation of infill and adaptively reutilizing existing buildings. As a group of two architect students and two landscape students we focused our attention to further the idea of connectivity of the entire site though the connection of open space from Site A to Site B and to Site C. The arrangement of the open spaces encourage pedestrian movement from A to C. We achieved this by creating a series of nodes, public outdoor spaces that promote pedestrian movement throughout the entire plan.
