This are some extracts from my diploma work, a housing project in Stockholm’s new developing area, Norra Djurgårdsstaden, which has a high energy efficiency demand and encourages new living opportunities. The area will be soon part of Stockholm’s inner city. The project aims to transform 4ha of the old industrial area of Hjorthagen in a new residential district. Important goals that have been analised are the social interaction and housing habits, low construction costs,
respect for natural resources, spacial organization and connections, mantaining a high density (economical politic of the stockholms kommun).
