Construction Axonometrics

My final project for my senior year Construction Fundamentals class in which we were asked to design and represent the structural system and building envelope of one structural bay of a 30,000 square foot multi-story office building.  I combined steel frame as my primary system with a curtain wall facade detailed with a horizontal external louver system.  Heating conduits are located along the facade and the drop down ceiling allowed for all duct work to be hidden from view.  Both the ceiling and the floor are paneled with a lightly stained bamboo in order to achieve a light and natural aesthetic on the interior of the space.  The structural system and curtain wall combination allows for the office spaces to be open and collaborative with generous amounts of natural light in order to provide a highly productive work environment.
