Client wanted to restore an existing porch. We found a small piece of what was left of the decorative spindle, surveyed existing conditions and looked at old pictures to design/recreate something very close to the original intent. An associate of mine helped with the wood work fabrication and installation. We used t&g ceder flooring. One of the existing columns was in such poor condition that it had to replaced. We used a PT column for structural support with overlaid hexogonal boards to create a column to match existing. BTW, saved client over $4,500 in labor cost by doing the work myself.
