Completed as part of the Aecom Urban SOS competition in collaboration with Tate White (Master Urban Planning- U. British Columbia), the proposal was to redesign the existing Olympic Park site, whose massive concrete plinth lies largely unused and stands as a monument to poor future planning.  The reintegration of urban fabric and circulation paths through an undulating landscape create a dynamic and multi-faceted neighborhood similar in nature to the Hutong neighborhoods of Beijing.  The inwardly focused complexes reflect the traditional courtyard house most typically found in the traditional hutong which integrating new contemporary features to preexisting urban tropes.
