For this studio I studied abroad for 8 weeks in Rome, Italy. For the first half of the term we had a journal that we were to make daily entries as we explored the amazing city. These entries included a lot of sketches, personal research and anaiysis of the city and it’s themes. Then for the project we were given a site a couple of blocks away from where we lived. We were to design a center that will act as a museum for Dante and his masterpiece “Divine Comedy,” as well as a node for the inhabitants of the city to interact with each other and with water (as that is an important theme for the city).
