Design:  
The Cyclotron Addition is an underground extension to the Medical School Science Building at the University of Michigan. If features two Cyclotron units enclosed within a vault with seven foot thick concrete walls. The roof of the addition which is the structure for the courtyard above is a concrete waffle slab on columns.
