The Central Valley Brown Field Redevelopment project was driven by a concept statement informed by participation in a community workshop, analysis of the site’s historical and regional context, and several site visits.  This analysis led to identification of several buildings that were significant in terms of history, architecture, or community service.  The realization was that there was a vibrant community in the Central Valley that would benefit from improved organization of social spaces.
