This research project consisted of interviews seeking first hand accounts of residents dependence on groundwater in the rural regions of the Marcellus Shale natural gas extraction zone. This case study will comprise one chapter in larger document compiled in the forthcoming publication by Columbia University's Urban Design Research Seminar entitled 'Half Full? Water Futures in the Western Catskills'.
