Pindar Vineyards commissioned GreenLogic Energy, in partnership with the Long Island
Power Authority, to install a 156’ foot tall, 100 Kilowatt Turbine at its North Fork Winery location. The turbine is the largest to be erected in Southold, and will power at least 80% of all winery operations.
“This is a significant achievement for Pindar. A symbol of our continued commitment to
sustainable agriculture and renewable energy”, said Alex Damianos – General Manager
“Let these deep draughts of enchanted wine lift me in soarings high and far”
Pindar [522-443 B.C.]
The “vine to wine” concept is very important in the grape-growing process to produce an exceptional quality of wine. The goal of this project was to design a Wine Tasting Pavilion that welcomes people to taste the best wine of Pindar Vineyard in Peconic, New York.
My mission for Wine Tasting Pavilion was to use the concept of the “vine to wine” process to create a space that engaged the senses through materials and structures influenced by the vineyard environment.
