ENGINEERING CAMPUS AXIS
As a means to connect Knowlton and Hitchcock Halls to the rest of the engineering corridor, a new axis carves through the pre-exisiting landscape to reorient emphasis to prominant campus locations. Large steps serve as public gathering space that provide views to Knowlton Hall, Ohio Stadium, and Thompson Library. Small pockets of private space populate the peripheral areas of the corridor to provide a relief from the heavy flow of pedestrian traffic. Over time, the newly planted trees will provide shade to the study spaces which are now occupied by additional seating for study and recreation.
