The assignment required us to visit the local landfill to come up with ideas for a light fixture constructed from consumer waste.  I was appalled at the site of the large amount of computer and electronics waste - most of it containing very small amounts of valuable material not worth the energy spent on extraction - and thus came up with a wall sconce that celebrates the lighting effect caused by light passing through three motherboards. Other materials include plexiglass from a printer, computer shell casing, and the power button from a vcr.  A compact flourescent fixture provides the light.
