This new 8,000 sf fire hall consists of two wood-framed buildings under one roof. The building is designed to meet LEED Gold Certification. The east building houses the fire trucks and equipment while the west building includes offices and a training room with an indoor-outdoor fireplace.
I worked with the design team from schematic design through construction documentation. I also played a large roll in the LEED certification process. This included researching and specifying materials that meet LEED standards and developing ways to incorporate sustainable design strategies.
