Program:  Combine 1-bedroom/2-bath with 2-bedroom/2-bath to create a 2,500sq.ft. 2-bedroom/2½-bath.

Budget:  $750,000

These two apartments were divided with a diagonal wall, which we determined to demolish from the beginning; this posed the challenge of saving and restoring the original tin ceiling and hardwood floors.  We decided to move their current Master Bedroom from the south side of the apartment to the west, where the street noise was less and where we could create a larger, grander Master Bathroom.  The Master Bathroom was inspired by the existing clawfoot bathtub, and has a modern twist with it's black tiled steam shower.  We used various flooring materials to help delineate destinct areas within the large open kitchen and living space.
