CREMATORIUM & CHAPEL IN BELLEFOUNTAIN CEMETERY AT ST. LOUIS, MO.

The goal for this project was designing  cremation facility & sacred space for the existing Bellefountain cemetery. The design is based on the concept of creation in an environment meant for inner silence. Sequential spaces of emotions in an integrated built - unbuilt environment. The crematorium incorporates ceremonial, incinerator, and office areas, with layers of public, semipublic and private areas. A panel set of drawings was developed for the Architectural Systems and Environments course, associated with the
Design studio.
