This building houses the local office for a non-profit organization that assists and educates blind and visually impaired individuals. Discussions with the City’s Zoning and Planning Department began early in the project to resolve newly implemented ordinances and phasing challenges as facility stayed in operation while new building was built right next to it. I had active part in whole project, from conceptual design to construction administration. This project earned LEED Silver Certification. All this and the enthusiasm of the staff have made this one of my favorite projects.
